A Jackson figurehead since the start of his career, thrash-metal veteran and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian slaps his signature on the fearsome Jackson King V. The razor-sharp body has been carved out of a slab of nyatoh, which has a similar tonal quality to mahogany and combines with the neck-through construction to increase the sustain and support direct, in-your-face sound from the foundation up. Keeping the aesthetics in check, the rosewood fretboard has been fully decked out with a set of pearloid block inlays, replacing the classic Jackson sharkfins, while the light feel of the twenty-two jumbo frets is fully supported by the 24.75 inch scale length and compound 12 inch to 16 inch fretboard radius.
